Hannu Alho

Biography

Dr. Hannu Alho received his MD in 1981 from the University of Tampere, Finland. After his MD/PhD Thesis in 1984 from University of Tampere, he was a Visiting Fellow at the NIMH in Washington DC, USA in 1984-86 and Associate Professor at Georgetown University in 1986-89. He received the specialty of Addiction Medicine in 2001. Since 2006 he has been a research Professor at National Institute of Health and Welfare, Helsinki Finland, and since 2008 Full Professor of Addiction Medicine at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
